The waterproof Sony Xperia Z2 tablet will be hitting shelves in three models come the 29th of April, one of which will be available from Telstra for a discounted price.
Telstra will be offering the 16GB 4G+WiFi version for $720 outright, which is $39 less than if you went directly through Sony.
Alternatively, plans start at $55 per month, which is $35 for the 4GB plan and $20 in tablet repayments. Over a course of 24 months that comes to a minimum cost of $1320.
In terms of hardware it's a powerful device with a 10.1 inch 1900x1200 display, that gives it around 222 pixels per inch. Under the hood is a 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage, depending on the model. There's also a MicroSD slot for expanding that storage a further 64GB.
Other purchasing options
You can grab the tab from other vendors, including directly from Sony. There are three models: a 16GB WiFi-only for $599, 32GB WiFi-only for $699, and 16GB WiFi+4G for $749.
