OPPO is expanding its ecosystem with a pair of budget-friendly accessories: the $499 OPPO Pad 5 and $399 OPPO Watch S.
Both are available from this week via OPPO's Australian online store, but those who pick up its new Reno 15 Pro handset between February 5 and March 5 will score the OPPO Watch S for free. OPPO also has a launch offer for the cheaper Reno 15 F: a bonus set of OPPO Enco Buds 3 wireless earbuds.
The Oppo Watch S is a slim and premium smartwatch with a stainless steel design and a 3,000 nit display.
OPPO’s wearables tend to oscillate between more premium lifestyle and workout-oriented designs, and this latest effort definitely falls into the latter category. It comes preloaded with over 100 dedicated workout modes as well as the usual combination of heart-rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and ECG-based fitness tracking tech.
The OPPO Watch S also comes with dual-GPS tracking, with up to 10 days of battery life. In terms of durability, it’s got IP68 dust and water resistance as well as 5ATM water resistance. Some of those specs and features are fairly comparable to the OPPO Watch X2. However, the newer wearable comes in at a much more budget-friendly asking price by comparison.
The OPPO Watch S comes in two colour variants. The first of these is 'Silver Gleam', which comes with a nylon woven band. The 'Phantom Black' model comes with a black fluoroelastomer strap instead

Meanwhile, the new OPPO Pad 5 boasts a larger 12.1-inch 2.8K display on the outside plus a 10,050mAh battery on the inside. The tablet also touts a quad-speaker sound system for those looking to use it to watch movies or play games, plus AI-powered features that promise to deliver a more optimised note-taking workflow.
The OPPO Pad 5 is being billed as the company’s first tablet to come with TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certification, which means the tablet should be easier on the eyes with extended use. However, that isn't the only optically-oriented inclusion on the list here. There's also support for a dedicated Pastel Mode setting, which softens colours for a "more paper-like experience".
In any case, the OPPO Tab 5 will arrive alongside the new $79 OPPO Pencil 2R. This accessory supports a bunch of Apple Pencil-like features, such as the ability to circle on-screen content to capture it in the notes app and better recognition of handwritten mathematical formulae.
