Triple lens cameras are set to be the smartphone world's next big thing, and Samsung has jumped on the bandwagon with its newly announced midrange Galaxy A7 (2018).
The three lens rear-facing camera configuration is made up of a 24MP primary lens, a 5MP depth lens (for creating shallow depth of field / bokeh in photos), and a 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. You'll also find a 24MP selfie camera on the front.
Other key specifications for the Galaxy A7 (2018) include a 6-inch 1080p+ display, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, an eight-core 2.2GHz processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage, and a 3,330mAh battery. While Android Pie is already available, the Galaxy A7 (2018) will still ship with last year's Oreo.

Samsung says the Galaxy A7 (2018) will launch in select European and Asian markets this fall, and will expand to additional markets in the near future. Samsung has yet to confirm Galaxy A7 (2018) pricing for any market. Given that A-series devices are Samsung's affordable premium range, we'd expect to see it come in somewhere between $500 and $800 if it launches in Australia.
Samsung is set to unveil another new Galaxy on October 11, which could possibly be its long awaited foldable phone. Other rumours suggest this phone could have four rear-facing cameras, because three clearly aren't enough.
