Optus has launched a dedicated workspace within the Sydney Start Up Hub to collaborate with start-ups and small businesses and develop innovative solutions to challenges. The Optus Innovation Hub was developed by Optus in collaboration with the NSW State Government.
Optus will invite small businesses from both within and without the Sydney Start Up Hub to work and partner with Optus as well as other businesses in the space. Optus will connect with small businesses through hackathons, innovation challenges, masterclasses, mentorships and workshops.
"We want to transform the Optus Small Business proposition," said Vice President of Optus Small to Medium Business Matt Ball at the launch. "We want our customers to help develop the products of the future. We want our customers to tell us how we can improve."
The Innovation Hub will help small businesses connect with each other, with experts and with the technology to find new customers and solve problems. "The Innovation Hub is designed to solve and explore challenges and opportunities to foster new ways of thinking," said Matt Ball.
The Optus Innovation Hub is an extension of the Optus Yes Business online platform offering information and advice for small business owners. Businesses do not need to be Optus Business customers to make use of the Yes Business platform or the Innovation Hub.
