
Optus postpaid customers will be glued to their phones with unmetered music and video streaming now a part of new My Plan Plus options.
Anyone choosing a My Plan Plus phone plan with now be able to stream TV and movies from Netflix and Presto without the data counting against their monthly data limits. The feature is included in in $100 and $120 plans, and available for an extra $10 on lower-tier options. Music lovers will enjoy the same benefit, with unmetered data for streams from Spotify, Google Play Music, I Heart Radio and Pandora.
SIM Only plan customers can also stream unlimited music, but will not get the unmetered video streaming benefit.
The unmetered streams apply for Standard-Definition connections to Netflix and Presto, of up to 1.5Mbps, which should still look great on a phone screen. Unlimited Music applies for all audio quality streams up to 512kb/s.
The price and inclusions available in these plans hasn’t changed, with pricing starting from $35 for SIM Only plans, and $40 per month for phone plans.
On top of these benefits, Optus English Premier League service is also available. The football streams are free on phone plans of $85 and over, or are an optional extra at $15 per month for all other My Plan Plus options.
