Optus is now ranging OPPO's F1s smartphone as a new prepaid option for $259, almost $90 cheaper than the phone's outright price.
The OPPO F1s sits somewhere between an entry-level and midrange smartphone in terms of features and hardware. The 5.5-inch device packs a 5.5-inch display running at 720p, a MediaTek MT7750 octo-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a big 3,075mAh battery, a 16MP rear-facing camera, a 13MP front-facing camera, and fingerprint reader. It runs OPPO's customised (and somewhat Apple-inspired) take on Android - ColorOS 3.0 - based on Android Lollipop.
While the F1s is a cheaper buy through Optus prepaid, it's locked to the Optus network. If you recharge your prepaid account to minimum accumulated amount of $80, Optus will unlock the phone for free. Otherwise, there's an $80 unlocking fee if you've had the device for less than six months, or $25 if you've had it for more than six months.

OPPO's F1s is also available outright through JB Hi-Fi for $348 or on contract through Woolworths Mobile.
