iPhone and iPad owners can now upgrade to iOS 10.1, and while everyone get couple of new features and bug fixes, iPhone 7 Plus users receive a whole new way to take photos.
The update enables a feature called Portrait Camera. This uses the iPhone 7 Plus' dual lens rear-camera to take DSLR-style photos with a depth of field effect that keeps the subject sharp, while blurring the background. Apple says Portrait Camera is still in beta, seemingly to cover any weird image processing glitches that may occur.
Other key improvements and fixes include public transport directions for Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, the option to replay bubble and full screen effects in iMessage, and improved Bluetooth connectivity.
To update, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, select General, and then choose Software Update. It's probably best to do this on Wi-Fi.
