Optus checked off yet another milestone for Australian 4G last week, launching its new 2300MHz 4G Plus network in several capital cities around the country.
The new network will run along side the existing Optus 1800MHz 4G frequency and use the spectrum efficient Time-Division LTE technology Optus began speaking about last year.
The network is now live in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, with more locations to follow.
The introduction of this new component of the network means that Optus can make sure there is enough bandwidth to allocate to customers as its needed.
A compatible device is needed to access the 2300MHz network, which include a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 sold by Optus, the Galaxy S4 Mini and the upcoming iPhone 5c and 5s.
