Textbooks are expensive, but your phone plan doesn’t have to be, which is why Optus is offering exclusive discounts for students on a range of plans.
Let’s be real, the best part of being a student is the discounts, and Optus is taking 10% off selected plans to give you a bit more pocket money to go towards your HECS (or the uni bar).
Students can sign up through the Optus Student Hub, using an eligible student email address. You’ll then receive a promo code and can start shopping.
Discounts are being offered on;
- SIM only plans
- Postpaid phone plans
- Data plans with devices
Eligible students can receive 10% off their SIM only plans and plan fees with phone payments, valued at $49 or more.
Optus provides three discounted choices, labelled their Medium, Large and Extra Large plans. On these, you can get between 60GB and 120GB of data, as well as data pooling, unlimited local and international talk and text in 35 countries, 6 months of free Apple music and even overseas roaming on the Large and Extra Large deals. That's a lot of value, even without the discount.
If you're thinking about a new phone, check out some of the handsets available with Optus.
If you’re in the market for a new tablet or smartwatch to “help with your studies” (sure, let’s go with that), then you can take advantage of these offers as well. Data plans are also getting a 10% discount in conjunction with eligible devices. In addition to your device repayments, you can add on a 5GB, 25GB or 75GB data SIM plan coming in at $13.50, $22.50 or $45.00 per month.
All discounts are valid for 12 months, and are open to both new and some existing Optus customers. Although if you’re a current customer looking to switch from an Optus Choice Packaged, Build Your Own or Optus One plan, you’re out of luck.
These offers are valid until March 31, 2020 - so don’t procrastinate on this one.
