Optus’ $5 a day roaming expands to over 20 new countries

Optus has changed its international roaming offer for postpaid and prepaid customers, making more destinations available in Zone 1.  

From today, 23 destinations have moved from Zone 2 to Zone 1. These destinations include:

This brings the total number of Zone 1 destinations (including in-flight roaming) to over 150 locales. 

Zone 1 destinations are eligible for use with Optus' Daily Roaming add-on which allows postpaid customers to add 5GB with a 24-hour expiry for use overseas for $5 a day. 

Previously, to access the internet in these destinations you would have had to find WiFi, get a local SIM or, travel eSIM as an alternative.
