For NBN, Optus’ big competitors are Telstra and TPG. Regardless of whether you’re after a mobile deal or NBN steal from Optus, this page has a daily updating list of Optus plans and deals to help find what’s cheapest today.
Optus deals come and go, but we update plans in our comparison engine every day, so if there is an Optus deal to be found, you’ll find it below. Just keep an eye out for the green “Deal” text under the plan inclusions to see what’s on offer.
Who is Optus?
Optus is a telecommunications provider that specialises in mobile phone and internet plans. For mobile phones, Optus is one of three mobile network operators, and its network footprint is second only to Telstra. In terms of internet (specifically NBN), Optus is a renowned provider and one of eleven tracked by the ACCC as part of its ongoing Measuring Broadband Australia program.
Regardless of whether you’re considering an Optus plan for mobile or internet, you’re likely doing so because you want to go with a familiar brand that offers a good balance of dollar-to-data value, some great plan perks and solid support pathways. Optus is also one of a handful of providers to consider if you’re looking to pay off a new handset via a postpaid plan, particularly if you’re in the market for a new-model Apple or Samsung smartphone.
