It looks like our hopes of Apple learning from past mistakes will be shattered. Reports are coming in that the iPad 3 will see severe supply shortages that may persist in to Q2 of this year. At the same time we’re hearing that the next Apple tablet may even not be called the iPad 3 at all, but rather the iPad HD.
The HTC Rhyme is a mid-range Android 2.3 Gingerbread device with which HTC has taken a slightly different approach when it comes to aesthetics and accessories. The HTC Rhyme also comes standard with its own unique charging dock, which allows the phone to operate as a bedside clock with integrated web, weather and notifications. We grabbed a hold of one and took it for a spin to see how the Rhyme compared to other devices in the same field in our HTC Rhyme review.
The HTC Sensation XL is definitely at the larger end of the current smartphone spectrum, weighing in with a large 4.7 inch display. Being a variant of the HTC Sensation, it’s also one of HTC’s highest-end phones. So can this 4.7 inch beast compete in the big leagues? The Motorola DEFY line of smartphones has been one of Moto’s more popular enterprises in recent years. DEFY handsets are functional, relatively cheap and extremely resilient. Many consumers have been attracted to the idea of a phone that is water, impact, dust and temperature resistant, as it seems that all too many smartphones end up in the repair shop these days from just minor bumps and bruises.
The HTC Sensation XE is one of HTC’s current leading devices, offering a similar yet enhanced experience than the original HTC Sensation. The iPhone 4S, as part of the iconic iPhone line, is obviously doing very well for itself in the market. However, directly after its release there was a lot of discontentment demonstrated throughout the online community. The Nokia N9 is certainly an interesting device. Not only was it was Nokia’s first and only foray with the Meego operating system (OS), but also ended up being the physical template upon which the Nokia Lumia 800 – Nokia’s first Windows Phone handset – was based. The result is a definitely unique user experience that combines a new OS with a singular approach to manufacturing style.
The Motorola RAZR is a high end Android 2.3.5 device that takes a slightly different approach to physical design that some of the handsets we’ve previously seen from Motorola. Its sharp edges with just slightly contoured corners make for a more intriguing first impression than a device like the Motorola Atrix, but where the RAZR truly sets itself aesthetically apart is with its profile.
The HTC EVO 3D is a top-end Android Gingerbread device currently being offered by HTC that employs a slightly difference focus than that of a traditional smartphone. Instead of aiming solely at providing a better, yet similar experience for its users, the HTC EVO 3D has another trick up its sleeve. This device not only allows its users to view certain images and movies in glasses-free 3D, but can also take 3D photos and record 3D movies.
You’ve probably heard by now that Motorola is resurrecting its once mighty RAZR product line. Of course Moto has taken a slightly more modern design approach, ditching the iconic RAZR flip-phone form factor for a slate-style smartphone template. What we were surprised to hear is that Motorola has managed to keep the profile of its newest RAZR device down to a stunning 7.1mm, a full 1.4mm thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S II.
