Service Description
This Belong Mobile Broadband internet is a SIM only month-to-month service, for use in Australia, and uses the Telstra 4G Mobile network.
To use this service, you’ll need to bring your own compatible modem, tablet or mobile broadband device which supports for access to the 4G service, both 4G 1800MHz and 4G 700MHz bands.
Speeds
Download speeds for included data are capped at 100Mbps on 4G and 5G. For the $70 data plan, included data on 5G is capped at 250Mbps, and 4G is capped at 180Mbps. If you go over your included data allowance, your speed will be capped at 1Mbps but Belong won’t charge you extra.
To access 5G, you will need a 5G compatible device and be within a Belong 5G coverage area. Speeds may vary due to factors such as location, distance from base station, local conditions, concurrent users, hardware and software configuration and download/upload destination.
Gifting data
With your plan, you can gift your data, in 1GB units, to another active Belong mobile customer.
Manage Your Usage
You can purchase additional data at any time, if your allowance is low or has run out, in units of 5GB for $10 each. Belong do not apply data top-ups automatically. If you have no data remaining, your service will be slowed to a maximum of 1 Mbps for the rest of that monthly payment cycle, but Belong won’t charge you any extra. Your data at the slower speed will be unlimited.
Manage Your Account
You can keep track of your data by signing in to your Belong account through the Belong app. Belong will send you SMS alerts in near real-time when you have used 50% and 85% of your monthly data allowance.

What are the different types of Belong NBN plans?
Belong only sells NBN plans. It previously used to offer ADSL, but these have been discontinued. You can get Belong NBN plans on NBN 25, NBN 50 and NBN 100 speed tiers. All of Belong's plans are available on a contract-free basis. You can choose to BYO Modem or purchase one which will set you back $60 upfront.

Once you've picked the plan that works best for you and your family, you can place an order directly with Belong online. Belong will help you to organise an installation date and time, plus take care of transferring any current broadband plan you may have over to their own NBN service.

Another important thing to note: while installation is free for most customers, if you're located in a newly developed area with no existing telecommunications infrastructure, you may be charged a $300 New Development Fee by NBN Co.

Do I need to buy a new modem to sign up to Belong?
If you already have a NBN-ready modem or router that is suitable for your technology type, you can use it with any Belong NBN plan. Belong plans do however include pre-configured, ready-to-use modems.
What happens if I want to cancel my Belong NBN plan?
There are no early termination charges when you cancel your plan. If you’ve chosen to pay your modem or New Development Charge (if applicable) in monthly instalments, you may need to pay the remaining amount when you cancel your service.
