Following last night's finale on Foxtel, Australians can now purchase the entire first season of Westworld through iTunes (and we expect to see it turn up on Google Play shortly too, for those Android inclined). The entire season will cost you $26.99 in standard definition, or $29.99 in high definition. Individual episodes are available for $3.49 in high definition.
Foxtel's exclusivity agreement with HBO means digital retailers such as iTunes aren't able to sell premium TV shows like Westworld and Game of Thrones until the season concludes. Prior to 2014, digital retailers operating in Australia could sell individual episodes after they aired.
When downloaded through iTunes, each episode of Westworld is about 2GB in high definition, or 900MB in standard definition. Downloading the entire season in high definition will take about 21GB of quota.
If you need a higher monthly download allowance, here are a couple of unlimited broadband plans:
Alternatively, if you prefer to stream your TV, Westworld is also available through Foxtel Play's catch-up service. Foxtel recently revamped its digital pricing, so you can how watch shows like Game of Thrones and Westworld from $15 per month, down from $45.
