New reporting from Ookla has provided a fresh look at fixed-line internet performance in Australia, finding Superloop to be the best fixed internet service provider in the country.
Superloop came first in Ookla's Speed Test Connectivity report with a score of 80.19. This score is made up of a mix of categories that consider factors like speed, web browsing performance, and video streaming.

Aussie Broadband and Exetel followed closely behind with scores of 77.35 and 77.28, respectively, while household names TPG, Optus and Telstra trailed after.
Superloop also came first when it came to fastest fixed speeds. It scored 68.47 with a median download speed of 274.98Mbps, median upload speeds of 47.01 Mbps, and a latency of 11ms.

Of course, Ookla isn't the only game in town when it comes to broadband reporting. The ACCC measures the broadband performance of 10 major Australian internet providers. In its latest report from December 2025, Superloop came sixth. Optus topped that report, while Superloop sibling brand Exetel came second. However, that report only examines data collected from September 14 to October 13, 2025.
Here's a look at Superloop's NBN plans. You'll need to be on an HFC or FTTP NBN connection type to get plans above NBN 100.
And here's how Superloop's NBN 500 plans compare to other providers featured in the Ookla report:
Superloop's plans include five Speed Upgrade Days, which let you temporarily boost your speeds to the next tier on eligible plans.
Ookla's report also looked at other categories, including consistency, video experience, gaming experience and consumer sentiment.
Superloop led again on consistency (scoring 94.8%) and gaming (scoring 90.6) while Aussie Broadband was rated the top ISP for consumer sentiment with a score of 4.15 out of 5. No provider was awarded the best video performance due to there being no statistical difference between ISPs.
Data for the report was collected between July and December 2025. View the full Speed Test Connectivity report for full breakdowns and to see the methodology.
