Google Australia has announced that the Google Home Max smart speaker will go on sale in Australia for the first time this August.
This is great news for Australians who've been hanging out for a smart speaker with top-notch audio. The Google Home Max is a much larger and more powerful speaker than the standard Google Home, which failed to impress WhistleOut with its audio quality.
By contrast, the Google Home Max is 20 times louder than the standard Google Home with 4.5 inch woofers for deep bass and a Smart Sound feature that can automatically adapt sound based on where the speaker is placed in the room.
As well as superior sound quality, the Google Home Max offers all the usual Google Home benefits. You can use voice commands to control your music, your smart home devices like lights (if you have them), get cooking tips, weather forceasts, calendar appointments, news briefings and more.
While Australian pricing has yet to be announced, the Google Home sells in America for USD$399. The Google Home Max comes in charcoal or chalk colour and if you want to create a stereo effect you can buy two and pair them.
Google Australia has yet to confirm an exact release date for the Home Max. But you can sign up for an alert at the Google Store.
