Most Aussie Broadband NBN plans are getting more expensive

Aussie Broadband is the latest provider to announce price rises ahead of NBN Co's upcoming wholesale price changes. Most Aussie Broadband consumer NBN plans will increase between $2 and $4 per month, but NBN 750 plans and up aren't getting a hike this time around.

Here's how pricing is changing for Aussie Broadband's mainline NBN plans:

Speed Tier	Old Pricing	New Pricing
NBN 12	$73 per month	$77 per month
NBN 25	$79 per month	$83 per month
NBN 50	$93 per month	$95 per month
NBN 100	$95 per month	$99 per month
NBN 100/40	$109 per month	$114 per month
NBN 500	$95 per month	$99 per month
NBN 750	$119 per month	$119 per month
NBN 1000	$129 per month	$129 per month
NBN 2000	$189 per month	$189 per month

Aussie Broadband's Pro NBN plans with faster upload speeds are getting a steeper increase, with prices going up by as much as $10 per month.

Speed Tier	Old Pricing	New Pricing
NBN 250/100	$109 per month	$114 per month
NBN 500/200	$130 per month	$136 per month
NBN 1000/400	$150 per month	$160 per month
NBN 2000/500	$220 per month	$220 per month

These pricing changes will apply to new and existing Aussie Broadband customers. Customers on an impacted Aussie Broadband plan will be charged the new amount from their first bill in July.

Aussie Broadband's approach to this year's price rises has differed from Telstra and Optus. Both Telstra and Optus are only increasing the pricing for NBN 50 plans and slower. The cost of NBN 100 plans and up won't change on either provider. This is the same on Telstra's budget brand, Belong.

Despite the price increases, many providers still offer honeymoon discounts: savings for new customers that tend to last between six months and a year. Most NBN plans are contract-free, so jumping between these discounted plans is the best way to lower your NBN bill
