TCL today announced Australian availability for its first tablet, the TAB 10S 2022. As with many of TCL's Android-powered phones, the TAB 10S 2022 is more of a budget-focused offering and will set you back $399 outright. Despite this, TCL is bundling a couple of extras in the box, including a stylus and flip case.
Key specifications include a 10-inch Full HD display, a MediaTek MT8768 processor, 64GB of expandable storage, 4GB of RAM, and an 8,000mAh battery. Local models will be WiFi only. The TAB 10S 2022 ships with Android 11, but TCL says it will be upgraded to Android 12. Security updates will be provided until November 2023.
We wouldn't expect the TCL 10S 2022 to be an overly powerful machine based on its specs, but it should still handle its own when it comes to typical tablet tasks, like web browsing, streaming, and emails. The addition of a stylus and case at no extra cost is also a plus.
A firm release date has yet to be confirmed, but TCL says the TAB 10S 2022 will be available through Big W, Bing Lee, and Mobileciti.
