Samsung today announced local availability for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, its new budget tablet that starts at just $249. Despite the comparatively affordable price tag, the Tab A7 Lite still features a metal and glass build, rather than resorting to plastic.
Key specifications for the Tab A7 Lite include a HD 8.7-inch display, a MediaTek MT8768 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and a 5,100mAh battery.
You can pick up the Tab A7 Lite from today for $249 for a WiFi-only model or $349 if you want 4G. Unsurprisingly, there's no 5G model.
Given the rather modest specifications, our bet is the Tab A7 Lite will be best for those after a consumption device. It should be great if you're just looking for a tablet to stream video or browse the web and maybe even some light gaming, but it almost certainly won't be the best pick if you're looking for an option for productivity or school.
