Vodafone’s Infinite Plans have been some of the better mobile phone deals in the Australian mobile market since November last year. Unfortunately for Vodafone customers, however, the carrier originally inexplicably removed the ability to freely tether internet through your phone and to another device like a laptop or tablet. That’s all changed now with Vodafone allowing customers to use their included data on any device they can tether with.
iPhone and Android 2.2/2.3 customers will be happy about this, as tethering is a great way to maintain a portable internet connection when you’re out and about.
Previously tethering cost Vodafone Infinite customers an astounding 25c/MB, no small fee once all’s added up.
This is yet another step back towards customer satisfaction for Vodafone, who have been having a bit of a tough time of it lately. We’re glad to see Vodafone Australia turning itself around and re-entering the market with a positive and confident stride.
