Sony's latest high-end smartphone - the Xperia XZ2 - is now available on a contract through Telstra, after about a month and a half of outright availability.
While the Xperia XZ2 has received an obligatory spec bump for 2018, its newest "feature" is design. It took five years, but Sony has finally deviated for the brutalist aesthetic that permeated through its smartphone family since 2013. The company's new design language is all about curves; the XZ2 has curved Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. While it's not dissimilar to the what the rest of the mobile industry is doing, it’s a nice change of direction for Sony.
Key specifications for the Xperia XZ include a 5.7-inch 18:9 display running at 1080p+, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 64GB of expandable storage, 4GB of RAM, a 19MP rear-facing camera, IP168 water-resistance, and a 3,180mAh battery.
If you'd prefer to buy the Xperia XZ2 outright, you're looking at $1,099.
