International Callers Big Winners in Vodafone Plan Shake-Up

Aussies with families overseas will find the most value in new plans anno unced by Vodafone today, with generous international calling across the range, plan sharing and a flat overage rate for calls outside Australia.

Customers signing up to a Phone plan or SIM Only plan with receive up to 120-minutes of calls to 70 countries around the globe, including: Brazil, Italy, Germany, Philippines the UK and USA.

All including international calling minutes are pooled using Vodafone’s Share Plans, so unused minutes from one account can be used by ano ther connected customer on the same Share Plan.

If you do run out of included international calling minutes in a month, Vodafone will no w charge you a flat $6 for a further 60-minutes to use before your billing cycle ends, rather than charging a per-minute calling rate as it had done previously.

Better still, customers who choose a Phone plan of $80 or more, or a SIM Only plan of $50 or more, will receive unlimited calls and SMS to 10 of the most popular overseas calling destinations — China, India, USA, UK, NZ, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Vodafone's $5 Red Roaming feature continues and is now included across the entire Vodafone Postpaid plan range -- from $30 per month (SIM Only) right on up to its most expensive plans.

Customers who enter a Share Plan with family will find that all family members can roam with their phones overseas, however it should be noted that the $5 per day fee applies to all devices in a Share Plan separately. A family of four who all update Facebook on holidays should expect to pay $20 per day.
