Apple will hold its next major product event at 3am on September 13, and the iPhone 15 is almost certainly on the cards. In addition, we're expecting to see two new Apple Watches, and AirPods with USB-C charging.

The big change for this year's iPhone family is an expected move to USB-C. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are rumoured to be getting the dynamic island we saw on last year's Pro models, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are tipped to feature a more premium titanium build. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is also likely to benefit from a longer-range zoom lens.

Based on past years, we're expecting pre-orders to start on September 15, which would suggest a September 22 release date.

Even if you're not interested in buying an iPhone 15, you should still hold off on buying a new iPhone. The launch of a new handset means current models will get cheaper. Last year, Apple cut the price of the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 mini on the same day it announced the iPhone 14 family.

This year, we're expecting Apple to slash prices on the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 12, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max are all likely to be discontinued. If this is the case, they won't get official price cuts, but we'll almost certainly see some solid deals as retailers try and get through the last of their stock.
