With a brand new iPhone hitting shelves, older models are seeing their annual discounts so if you’ve been waiting to upgrade now is undeniably the time to do it.
Prices have dropped on iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 12 mini models, and the iPhone XR, iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have been discontinued. While telcos clear out their old stock, we expect to see further discounts on these in the coming weeks.
The new prices are as follows:
- iPhone 11 64GB: $849
- iPhone 11 128GB: $929
- iPhone 12 mini 64GB: $999
- iPhone 12 mini 128GB: $1,079
- iPhone 12 mini 256GB: $1,249
- iPhone 12 64GB: $1,199
- iPhone 12 128GB: $1,279
- iPhone 12 256GB: $1,449
Every mobile plan in Australia works the same way, you’ll simply pay the overall price of the phone over the course of 12, 24, or 36-months. The cost is divided into equal monthly repayments and you will then add your SIM-only plan on top of that.
An iPhone 11 (64GB) on a 24-month should now set you back just $35 per month, plus plan fees. While an iPhone 12 (64GB) on the same plan will come to around $50 per month, and plan fees on top.
If you’ve been looking to upgrade an older model, but aren’t entirely sold on the iPhone 13 range then these discounts represent a good opportunity. In recent years upgrades between iPhone generations have been incremental and we’re seeing Apple follow this trend again with the iPhone 13.
While there are additional features such as an improved camera, and battery life between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13, if you’re looking to save money a discounted iPhone 12 will still perform admirably.
