Vodafone unveiled improved inclusions in its range of Prepaid plans today, with up to three-times the data in some cases, and unlimited international calls to 10 countries.
Australia’s number 3 telco hasn’t changed pricing tiers for its PrePaid Cap products, but customers topping up from September 24 will find they have more data to use per recharge. $30 and $40 Prepaid Caps have double data, or 1GB and 2GB respectively.
$50 Prepaid Cap recharges will offer even more value, with 3GB included data and unlimited calls in Australia, while all plans come with unlimited SMS.

Self-service customers will be rewarded, with a bonus 250MB or 500MB added to your recharge value when you top-up using Vodafone’s website or its newly designed app.
“Vodafone is trying to deliver a lot more fairness and a lot more value for the customer,” said Mehul Dave, General Manager of Prepaid at Vodafone. “We believe that the value [customer] gets shouldn’t in any way be based on how you pay, whether its Prepaid or Postpaid”.
The new Prepaid pricing aligns well with similar price tiers in Vodafone’s Postpaid SIM-only plan range, but the telco will offer Prepaid customers with international family and friends a little extra. Anyone recharging on the $50 Cap plan will also be able to make unlimited international calls to 10 countries: China, India, USA, UK, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea.
The overseas calling component is a limited time offer though, due to expire on January 6, 2015, but Dave says the telco is assessing whether it can extend this offer beyond its expiration.
