Optus has refreshed its Prepaid plan line-up, tweaking a few inclusions and adding a data rollover function across the range.
As before, an Optus Prepaid recharge will cost you either $30, $45 or $60. The major change is that the $30 recharge now comes with unlimited national calls included, up from a $350 value.
Data inclusions remain the same across the three plans, but you can now rollover unused data from one month into the next month, so long as you recharge before the expiry data. You can rollover up to 10GB per month.

Optus also maintains a tiered extra credit component ($5, $10 and $15 per recharge) which can be used on international calls and SMS, or premium SMS services.
Adding a fully unlimited option at the $30 price point is a great idea, and reflects the increasing competition posed by second-tier Prepaid and Monthly contract providers like Amaysim, Boost Mobile and Yatango, which don’t compete so well at the lower price points, but are far more generous once you look to spend $40 or more each month.
