If you’re one of the millions of parents across the world champing at the bit for more Bluey, there’s finally something to tide you (oh… and your children) over until the Bluey movie finally arrives in 2027. Announced this morning, a new Bluey game developed by Aussie studio Halfbrick (best known for Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride) will arrive on Apple iPhone, iPad. and Mac on December 12, with additional devices to follow in 2026.
Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen will feature an original story from series creator Joe Brumm. Brumm announced late last year that he would be stepping away from the show and would be focusing instead on the upcoming movie (releasing August 2027) as a last hurrah. That makes Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen Brumm’s penultimate Bluey project (unless there’s another surprise in store).
Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen is an adventure game in the hand-drawn style of season two and three episodes Escape and Dragon. It
The game is recommended for ages seven and up, so while it doesn’t sound too "trifficult" for the little ones, it will offer a decent challenge with plenty of puzzles and hidden treasures to discover.
Bluey’s Quest for the Golden Pen will officially release on December 12, exclusive to iPhone, iPad and Mac for a period. It will be free to download, and an optional once-off in-app purchase will unlock all nine levels. The Android release will follow shortly after when the game hits the Google Play store on January 11 2026. It will then release on PC, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026.
You can pre-register your interest for Bluey and the Golden Pen on the App Store and Google Play.
