Apple's subscription news service, News+, is now available in Australia, priced at $14.99 per month. News+ is essentially a news aggregator that gives you access to articles from a plethora of publications, both local and international.
Instead of paying a subscription fee for each individual magazine or newspaper, your monthly fee gets you access to anything in the Apple News+ library. It's like Netflix, but for words.
You'll find Apple News+ within the News app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
In terms of local content, Apple News+ will get you access to The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, The Courier Mail, The Advertiser, Vogue, Australian Women’s Health, Elle, The Australian Women’s Weekly, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, GQ, Australian Men’s Health, Delicious, and Australian Geographic.
International publications featured in Apple News+ include The Wall Street Journal (US), Los Angeles Times (US), The Times (UK), The Sunday Times (UK), Forbes (US), Esquire (US), Rolling Stone (US), National Geographic (US), New York Magazine (US), The Hollywood Reporter (US), Empire (UK) and Grazia (UK).
Apple News+ is $14.99 per month in Australia, with a free one-month trial available to subscribers. An Apple News+ subscription will cover an entire family - up to six people. The five other members must be part of your Family Sharing group.
Apple News+ joins Apple Arcade, Apple Music and Apple TV+ in Apple's expanding set of subscription services.
