So you already know which Samsung Galaxy S23 model you want and you've chosen your storage, now for the most enjoyable part of getting a new phone - choosing the colour.
This year, Samsung has released eight colours across the Samsung Galaxy S23 range, with four exclusive to the Samsung website, so let's introduce you to them all one by one.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Colours
This year's colour range sees Samsung gravitate a bit more towards subdued, neutral tones and botanicals compared to the more vibrant options we saw last year.
Last year, Samsung lovers were treated to five colours across the S22 range plus an additional five colours if you purchased your new device directly from Samsung itself.
But this year it seems the state of the economy is also hitting Samsung hard in the wallet. Although like last year, there are additional colour options if you purchase directly from the Samsung website, the standard colour palette is quite same same but different. There are fewer colours to choose from compared to previous years and what you can choose from appear to be repeated and renamed colours from older models.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus models come in four colours when purchased from a telco:
- Phantom Black
- Cream
- Lavender
- Green
And for those wishing to explore the exclusive Samsung direct colour options, here are your choices:
- Graphite
- Lime
And so, without further ado, here are the colour options available for Galaxy S23 devices:
Phantom Black

What do you get when you don't know what to get? Phantom Black it is! Black is the standard shade everyone gravitates towards and rightly so. It's tidy, it's shiny and if it's good enough for Wednesday Addams, it's certainly good enough for us!
Cream
Cream is a minimalist's dream, especially when they're tired of the same old white phone. Don't get us wrong, white phones are neat, but after a while, they get a little boring to look at. And Cream solves that problem by adding a smooth layer of sophistication to a top-tier device.
Lavender
It's no surprise Samsung is continuing the purple trend from last season's Z Flip 4 release. Lavender is a clear favourite among Samsung owners offering a calm, cool and collected experience. If you're tired of choosing the default Blacks and Whites and Neutrals - Lavender is a unique choice that won't go out of style anytime soon.
Green
Green, particularly in this shade, is as aesthetically soothing as a colour can get. It isn't too demanding on the eyes and has a soothing effect with its slightly moody tone.
Feel as though you've been transported to a dense, lush rainforest every time you use your device. No more worrying about your screentime - just sit back and relax with these cottagecore vibes, which may even have you staring at the back of your phone more than the front!
Graphite
Phantom Black's too moody, and Cream's not moody enough. Say hello to the middle-ground - Graphite. Graphite has become a staple in the mobile phone colour palette because it ticks so many boxes. It's subtle yet has character. It's different yet not ridiculously excessive. If John Wick were buying one, you know he'd choose Graphite.
Lime
As far as phone colours go, Lime is as vibrant as it gets. It's that shade people argue over in a game of Spotto. Is it green? Is it yellow? No, it's definitely green. It may seem like an odd choice, but Lime really pops!
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Colours
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra range comes in four standard colours, the same as the S23 and S23 Plus models:
- Phantom Black
- Cream
- Lavender
- Green
And four Samsung-direct exclusive colour choices, with two Ultra exclusive tones:
- Graphite
- Lime
- Red - ULTRA EXCLUSIVE
- Sky Blue - ULTRA EXCLUSIVE

Sometimes choosing a colour is hard. Sometimes you just want a shade that goes with everything and you won't feel bad slapping a case over. Not many monochromatic shades made the Galaxy S23 lineup this time around but Phantom Black has your back.
Cream
Cream - an excellent alternative to the usual minimalist colours like Black, White and Grey. Cream belongs to the next tier of colours like Beige and Gold where you don't want to be too flashy but don't want to follow the crowd either. Sheep are white, cream is not.
Lavender
If you loved the Z Flip 4 in Bora Purple, you're going to adore this Lavender tone. Purple can come in many forms - moody, bright, subtle, 'isn't that more of a pink'? But this is unmistakably cool and calming Lavender at its finest.
Green
Green green, green green. Hello, it's your new Samsung calling. Bad puns aside, Green means Go and we know all you Samsung-lovers out there will be speed racing towards this stunning shade for something different yet still quite modest.
Graphite
Contrasting nicely with the dark screen and camera details, Graphite is a stunning choice that keeps things casual. Not sure what colour to choose but don't want the same old boring Black? Graphite is the way to go.
Lime
Probably the most surprising contender among the S23 lineup, Lime is the most in-your-face option in this colour lineup. When compared to the other shades like Lavender, Red and Sky Blue, you can see what Samsung was going for. Eye-catching colours in subtle shades that won't go out of style as quickly as metallics or pastels.
Red
Be bold. Make sure everyone knows you have in your hot little hands the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It's the kind of red that isn't over the top or too demanding. It's quite earthy, like clay, which contrasts well with the dark details of the three cameras on the back.
Sky Blue
Samsung's colour department has a real talent for designing phones in the most timeless, dreamy shades and Sky Blue is no exception. Looking like something from a dream, this glossy tone is the suspiciously familiar twin to last year's S22 Light Blue. Hmm.
