Service Description

The Vodafone 4G Home Wireless Broadband month to month Plan is a Home Wireless Broadband service. This plan is a fixed data-only service that provides you with internet access via Vodafone 4G Network in Australia.

Speed

The maximum speed available on this plan (20Mbps) is a limit on what speeds you can receive, not a measurement of what you will actually receive at all times. You may experience slower speeds than this during busy periods and at other times. This product is suitable for 1-3 users for browsing, emails, social media, streaming music, SD and HD video. It is not suitable for 4K streaming and may not be suitable for online gaming. Speeds are variable and may be subject to data deprioritisation. This could mean that during periods of congestion some data traffic will receive less priority over other traffic on the network, and you may experience slower speeds as a result.

Modem

A refurbished modem will be provided to use with your plan. Vodafone retains ownership of the modem and it must be returned if the service is cancelled. You will receive a refurbished modem as part of your order. Refurbished modems are modems that are returned, tested and restored to manufacturer settings.

There is no modem non-return fee for refurbished modems. However, Vodafone retains ownership of the modem. If you cancel your plan or withdraw your service, the refurbished modem must be returned to Vodafone within 30 days of cancellation/withdrawal.

Early Exit Fees and Modem Non-Return Fees

There are no Early Exit Fees on this Plan. You must use the Vodafone provided 4G compatible modem (‘Modem’) with your plan. Vodafone owns the Modem and retains full legal title and beneficial ownership in the Modem:

1. For refurbished Modems that are issued to you under your Plan - the refurbished Modem must be returned to Vodafone within 30 days of your Plan being cancelled or withdrawn,

2. For all other modems, including new modems that are issued to you under your Plan – you must return your modem within 30 days of your Plan being cancelled or withdrawn. If your Plan is cancelled or withdrawn within 24 months of connecting and you do not return the Modem in Good Working Order within 30 days, a Modem Non-Return Fee will apply. The Non-Return Fee is $0 when you stay connected for 24 months (‘Device Period’). If you do not return the Modem, you will be charged a Modem Non-Return Fee calculated by $7.50 x number of months remaining of the Device Period. The total maximum cost of not returning the Modem is $180.

Network Guarantee

If you’re a new customer signing up to a plan and you’re not satisfied with Vodafone network within the first 30 days, you can leave to this plan. Vodafone even refund any monthly plan fees or modem instalments that you’ve paid - just return your modem in its original packaging within 10 days of your claim. You’ll only have to pay for usage charges or charges for services not included in your plan, which were incurred up to when your cancellation is finalised.
