ISP iiNet will acquire Adam Internet in a deal worth $60-million reported to the Australian Securities Exchange this morning.

The deal will deliver 70,000 Adam Internet subscribers to iiNet, plus Adam Internet infrastructure including a data centre and DSLAMs.

After adding in the Adam Internet customer base, the total number of iiNet subscribers exceeds 900,000. The majority of Adam's customers are in South Australia (where the ISP is based) and the Northern Territory.

The deal has been approved by the ACCC and will go ahead after certain procedural conditions have been met. This is expected to occur by August 31.

Adam Internet joins a long list of small Australian ISP to have been acquired by iiNet, including prominent industry names like Internode and OzEmail.
