Almost a year after launching its NBN 1000 plan, SpinTel has surprised customers with a discount instead of the ever-popular price hike.

SpinTel initially priced its NBN 1000 plan at $95 per month for the first six months, then $105.95 per month thereafter. This averaged $1,205.70 for the first year.

By comparison, new SpinTel customers who sign up and stick with WhistleOut’s exclusive deal for a full year will pay just $90 per month. This price includes a $10.95 monthly discount, which lasts for the life of the plan. Over a year, this amounts to $1,080 for the fastest NBN plan SpinTel has to offer. Users can expect speeds of 750Mbps with typical evening speeds of 42Mbps.

If you don’t have a need for this much speed but still require a faster-than-average internet plan — whether it’s for gaming, working from home or 4K streaming — SpinTel’s NBN 250 plan has also been discounted to just $80 per month, thanks to an exclusive discount of $9.95 that also promises to last the life of the plan. Speeds of 240Mbps can be achieved while typical evening speeds average around 22Mbps.

For easy comparison, these offers from SpinTel's NBN Unlimited 250 and NBN Unlimited 1000 plans, can be viewed below:

These plans are no-contract, offer unlimited data and cost $0 to set up. Bringing your own modem will also keep costs down but you can opt for a TP-Link EasyMesh Gateway or TP-Link EasyMesh Bundle for upfront prices of $139.95 and $249.95 respectively.
