From July 1, some Origin customers will see their monthly NBN plan bill go up by $9 per month.
This includes customers on Origin's NBN 100/40, NBN 250 and NBN 1000 speed tiers.

| NBN plan | Old price (per month) | New price (per month) | Price change |
|---|---|---|---|
| NBN 25 | $83 | $89 | $6 increase |
| NBN 50 | $95 | $103 | $8 increase |
| NBN 100/20 | $105 | $107 | $2 increase |
| NBN 100/40 | $110 | $119 | $9 increase |
| NBN 250 | $120 | $129 | $9 increase |
| NBN 1000 | $130 | $139 | $9 increase |
Origin's NBN 50 and NBN 25 plans will also see a large increase of $8 and $6 per month, respectively. Only NBN 100/20 plan customers will scrape by with a modest price increase of $2 per month.
Most NBN providers are currently notifying customers of upcoming price changes from July 1. These changes are due to an annual pricing review by NBN Co, which sees wholesale plan prices go up by up to $1.71.
Compared to other NBN providers Origin's plan increases are the most dramatic. So far, most NBN providers have increased their plans by no more than $3 or $4 per month and only on a few plans in their range.
Origin is the first NBN provider we've seen to increase the price of its NBN 250 and NBN 1000 plans. Telstra and Tangerine have decreased the cost of their NBN 1000 plans.
Here's Origin's current NBN plan pricing (which includes a $15 discount for the first six months):
