Aussie Broadband is the latest telco to announce a coronavirus assistance package, offering customers unmetered data, halting service suspensions, and in some cases, fasters speeds.

As of March 18, any customer on a plan that doesn't already have unlimited data will get unmetered usage between 6am to 6pm. This means that any data used during those times will not count toward a customer's monthly allowance.

Customers still on an NBN 12 plan will be change to a faster NBN 25 plan at no extra cost.

And lastly, Aussie Broadband will temporarily stop all service suspensions due to late payments. The telco also continues to offer a range of services for customers experiencing financial hardship, such as payment plans.

Aussie Broadband hasn't set an end-date on any of these measures, saying it would prefer to be flexible with its response to COVID-19.
