At the end of last year, MyRepublic confirmed it will close up shop in Australia in the coming months. All existing MyRepublic NBN customers will be moved to Superloop. While there aren't too many details yet, here's what we know so far.
When will the Superloop migration happen?
Most of MyRepublic's NBN customers will be moved to Superloop in February. MyRepublic is expected to contact customers in the coming weeks.
Do I have to move to Superloop?
Since most MyRepublic plans are contact-free, there's no obligation for MyRepublic customers to migrate to Superloop.

At this stage, it's unclear whether MyRepublic customers on a contract will have to move to Superloop, or if the contract will be waived since the brand will no longer exist in Australia.
What will my plan look like if I migrate to Superloop?
MyRepublic and Superloop have yet to confirm plan details for customers who migrate. While Superloop offers NBN plans on the same speed tiers as MyRepublic, its prices tend to be a little more expensive. In addition, Superloop's NBN 1000 plan has speeds capped to 500Mbps, while MyRepublic's can hit the full 1000Mbps.
Unless Superloop allows migrating customers to keep paying their current amount, most MyRepublic customers would pay more by swapping to Superloop - especially on higher speed tiers. MyRepublic, for example, charges $99 for its NBN 250 plan at full price. Superloop charges $119.95.

If I migrate to Superloop, am I locked in?
If you're a MyRepublic customer who swaps to Superloop as part of the migration, we'd expect there'd be no obligation to stay. All of Superloop's plans are contract-free, so you can leave at any time.
Of course, it's possible Superloop could offer migrating customers a better deal with the caveat of a 12-month lock-in, for example. You'd still have the option of simply not migrating, however.
Can I still sign-up for MyRepublic?
Oddly, MyRepublic is still allowing new customers to sign-up for an NBN plan through it. New customers will naturally also be migrated to Superloop as early as February.
