What is the Eurovision Song Contest about?
Eurovision is a celebration of all things bizarre and talented. It's a continental (with some exceptions) song contest that brings together dozens of countries to each perform their hearts out for their respective nations.
It's not just about the music; it's about the theme, the glamour, the costumes, the pyrotechnics, the effects, the lyrics, the languages, the instruments. It's an all-encompassing performance, and each one is uniquely out there.
Despite not technically being a European country, Australia was included to participate in 2015 and has since sent over several outstanding artists to represent us, including Guy Sebastian, Dami Im and Kate Miller-Heidke. This year, we're sending in the big guns with Delta Goodrem, who is set to perform 'Eclipse'.
A total of 35 countries will compete in the semi-finals as 2026 marks the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be streaming live from Vienna, Austria (last year's winners).
