Streaming service Stan used to be the Australian home of all things Disney, but that partnership appears to have come to an end in the wake of Disney+'s local launch. Up until recently, Stan was host to a plethora of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars titles. These have all since been removed.
A number of Disney titles were still available to stream on Stan on Friday afternoon, but are no longer appearing in Stan's search.
This is almost certainly because of the impending launch of Disney+, which goes live in Australia tomorrow. Disney's home-made streaming service is being pitched as the "exclusive home" for Disney movies and TV shows, so it's not entirely surprising to see titles like Toy Story, The Avengers, and Star Wars disappear.
If you're keen to keep streaming your favourite Disney-owned franchises, you'll be able to sign-up to Disney+ from tomorrow. You'll pay $8.99 per month, or alternatively, can commit to a year for a discounted price of $89.99. A standard Disney+ subscription will allow you to stream in up to 4K resolution with HDR support, on up to four different devices at once.
Here's a look at what we're expecting to see on Disney+ at launch.
