Samsung's second foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip is now available locally, having hit shelves today. While the $2,199 price-tag is a lot more palatable than what you'd pay for a Galaxy Fold, it may still seem like a daunting prospect as an outright purchase. If you're after a Galaxy Z Flip, but don't want to drop over two grand in one go, you'll be pleased to know that Telstra, Vodafone, and Optus are all offering the Galaxy Z Flip on a plan.
Thankfully, the Galaxy Z Flip is also a lot easier to buy than the Galaxy Fold. While you need to go into a physical store to get a Galaxy Fold, all three telcos are taking online orders for the Galaxy Z Flip. Stock also seems to be less limited than what we saw with the Galaxy Fold last year.
In case you need a refresher, the Galaxy Z Flip isn't dissimilar to the Galaxy Fold. However, the Galaxy Z Flip folds in half, but horizontally rather than vertically. Instead of getting a smartphone-sized device that opens up to be a tablet, the flip phone-like handset is a 6.7-inch contraption, that collapses down into a smaller square when it's not being used. It's ostensibly a modern flip phone.
