Best phones on a contract
Virgin is currently one of the best value telcos if you're looking at phones on a contract, and tends to offer very competitive options for both cheaper and high-end plans.
If you want a good phone on a budget, Virgin has the iPhone SE 32GB available on a contract for $40 per month. This gets you 3GB of data, unlimited talk and text, and $50 of international calls. As a bonus, you also get a once-off 10GB Data Gift if you sign up by 11 October.
If you'd like something newer, you can get the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note8 for additional $19 monthly handset cost on an $80 plan over 24 months contract. That's $99 per month for 16GB of data (including 5GB bonus if you sign up by 11 October), unlimited talk and text, and $300 of international calls. For the bonus, you will be able to redeem a bonus wireless charger through Samsung if you pre-order by 21 September. Virgin Mobile will also reward you with a once-off 15GB Data Gift.
Both plans also included data-free music streaming for Spotify, Google Play Music, and iHeartRadio.
Best SIM Only plan
If you don't use a lot of data but would like some bonus international calls, Virgin has an amazing SIM only deal going right now. The newly launched 12-month $35 International SIM Plan will get you 1.5GB of data, unlimited talk and text, and $300 of international calls. Plus, you get unlimited standard international calls to top destinations including UK, USA, NZ, China, India, Canada and Singapore. As a bonus, you also get the once-off 10GB Data Gift if you sign up before 11 October.
Best prepaid deal
Virgin isn't great value when it comes to prepaid. If you really want a prepaid plan from Virgin, the $29 recharge is your best bet. It will get you $450 of talk and text, and 2GB of data.
If you're happy to go with another provider, take a look at Vaya's "Unlimited L" plan instead. It's $26 per month, no contract, and gives you 4GB of data, and unlimited talk and text.
