Optus has won the best iPhone Provider award three years on the trot, which is testament to the long-term commitment Optus has shown to providing value to Australians who want to buy the most popular handsets on plans.
Optus refreshed its plans in late 2019 making them simpler and more customiseable. Choose to pay for your Samsung phone over 12, 24 or 36 months and if you feel like none of the plans on offer are right for you then you can build your own plan. Data, roaming and international roaming can all be customised. Now that's flexible.
Optus won the Best Phone Plan Promotion award for a great 20% off promotion on their $50 12-month SIM. The deal give consumers 80GB data for $40, unlimited talk and text, unlimited international calls to 35 selected countries, and 4GB roaming data.
Not only has Optus offered the best deals on iPhone plans over the last year, they did the same in 2018 as well, demsonstrating a long-term commitment to providing value to Australians who want to buy the most popular handsets on plans.
It's back to back wins in the Best Samsung Provider category for Optus. Not only are the Optus price points often the best you can get, consumers also benefit from extra perks like Optus Sport and the Nat Geo app, making their plans very compelling.
Optus offered extraordinary value on popular new phones in its December 2018 promotion.
Optus took the gong for Best iPhone Plans Provider in a fiercely competitive year.
Optus is Australia’s second largest mobile phone service provider and for a good reason. Despite facing stiff competition, Optus has made enormous investments in the reach of its phone network across the country, and now can boast widespread coverage to the majority of the Australian population, as well as impressively fast network speeds on its 4G Plus and 5G network.
Optus plans are customisable and flexible.
Here are the most popular Optus SIM-only plans:
If you have multiple Optus Choice Plus month-to-month SIM-only plans on the same account, you can share all of the data from these plans together across services. This is great for families who might have a single high-data plan and several lower cost plans sharing the data pool. It is also ideal if you use multiple internet devices, like phones, tablets, or portable modems.
Optus is one of the more generous providers for anyone who needs international phone calls as part of their phone plan. Most Optus phone plans include at unlimited standard international Talk and Text from Australia to 35 destinations worldwide.
Optus offers unlimited data at capped speeds of 1.5Mbps to ensure you don't get overcharged when you reach your limit. Unlike the other telcos, Optus has a few other options for the data-hungry — you can add a $6 unlimited data add-on which gives you unlimited mobile data on the entire 4G and 5G network for 24 hours, or you can simply top up your data for the remainder of the month for a nominal fee.
If you have an Optus SIM-only plan, you can enjoy the telco's international roaming option without changing SIMs. For just $5 per day you'll get 5GB of data and unlimited standard Talk and Text in over 100 Zone 1 destinations. For context, Zone 1 includes large parts of Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe.
Optus customers can leverage Optus SubHub to bundle their streaming subscriptions for a discounted rate. Enjoy up to 10% off your total streaming bill each month when you combine three or more eligible services together.
Optus says its network covers 98.5% of the population with its 4G & 5G service, including regional towns across Australia.
