Service Description
felix mobile's Subscription Plan is a month-to-month subscription phone plan that is powered by the Vodafone 5G network. You can access 5G by using a 5G approved device in a 5G coverage area.
To sign up for a felix Subscription, you'll need to download the felix mobile app. You'll pay for the felix Subscription when signing up in the felix mobile app and your first calendar month starts when you activate your SIM. The subscription automatically renews each calendar month until you pause or cancel in the felix mobile app.
Using Your Service Overseas
You can add Unlimited International Calls and Text for $5/mth, offering unlimited standard calls and text to over 40 selected countries. Countries may vary.
International Roaming is available as an add-on for $20 to use over 365 days. This includes 4GB, 100 standard mins and 100 standard SMS to over 40 selected countries. Countries may vary.

Unlimited Data Banking
Each time you renew your plan, any unused data will be added to your bank. There's no limit on how much data can be stored in your data bank and no expiry period, as long as you stay with your plan.
Speed Cap
On this plan, speeds are capped at 150Mbps. These speeds are the maximum potential speeds that you may experience. The actual speeds you may experience can vary depending on factors such as device capability, location, network congestion at the time of use, network coverage and if you're roaming. 5G available in selected areas on 5G compatible devices.
No excess data charges
There are no excess data charges. Once you’ve used all your included data, speeds are capped at 1.5Mbps. Or you can add 10GB for $10.

felix has a focus on keeping things simple. It offers three mobile plans, all of which are free from excess charges. While technically prepaid, felix's plans are billed for the full calander month so you don't need to worry about any sneaky 28-day recharges.
felix doesn't offer phones on a plan so as long as you've got your own phone you can sign up for one of felix's SIM-only plans.

felix's unlimited data plan
felix is still the only telco that offers a truly unlimited data plan. Most telcos that offer unlimited or infinite data have full-speed data up until the point you use up your data allowance. Then they throttle your speeds down to around 1-2Mbps.
felix's most expensive plan still has a capped data speed but it's 20Mbps which though still basic in many aspects is much better. It's slightly slower than what you can expect on an NBN 25 connection. It's fast enough to stream HD video on your phone, download apps and perform all the regular tasks your phone can do.
Unlimited data on felix's other plans
You still get no excess data charges on its other plans but these operate similarly to other telcos. On those plans, once your allowance is used up your speeds are reduced to 1.5Mbps.

You won't find any felix loyalty program. But there are a few perks it has that are worth calling out:
- International roaming. felix has one simple roaming pack that can be added for $20. This includes 4GB of data, 100 texts and 100 minutes of call time. It has a one-year expiry so you can easily make use of it over a couple of trips, especially if you use public WiFi where you can
- International calls. For an additional $5 per month, you can add unlimited international calls and texts to around 40 popular countries
- Tree planting. As we've already mentioned, as a carbon neutral company felix focuses on sustainable iniaitives. Each month it plants a tree for each of its customers. You can see how many trees you've contributed to the planting of via the app. You can also donate data from your data bank to plan an extra tree
- Data banking. On felix's plans without its 20Mbps unlimited data, you do still get unlimited data banking so you can stow away any extra you haven't used

How to switch to felix
Unlike many other Aussie telcos, felix mobile is an entirely online business. You can sign up for a SIM card online at the felix website, or you can download the felix app to your phone and order a new service from within the app.
The app remains your portal to your felix account, where you can add and remove add-on services like overseas calling and international roaming.
Switching to felix like any other telco in Australia is a straightforward process:
- Find the felix plan you're after and sign up online or via the app.
- When signing up for a felix plan, you'll be asked whether you want to 'port' or transfer your current number to your new account. Simply put in your number, and specify your existing provider if you want to keep the one you have.
- After you receive your SIM card (if you order online), you'll need to activate it. Doing this begins the process of transferring your number. felix also offers an eSIM option which can be activated on your phone by following the instructions provided. However, you will need an eSIM-compatible phone.
Note: Your old service will keep working until number porting is completed. This can take anywhere between a few minutes to an hour or more. You'll typically know your new felix plan is live when your previous service stops working.

What happens if I want to cancel my felix plan?
All of felix's plans are contract-free, so you can cancel or switch your plan every month without penalty. When you cancel you lose any banked data you have accrued.
What happens if I go over my monthly data allowance?
felix has no excess data charges, if you use up your monthly data allowance your maximum speed will be throttled to 1.5Mbps. Which is just enough for basic browsing, albeit quite slow.
What network does felix mobile use?
felix is owned and operated by TPG Telecom which also owns Vodafone. As such, felix uses the Vodafone 4G and 5G network in Australia.
Does felix offer 5G?
All felix plans come with 5G network access, however the speed caps varies from 20Mbps to 150Mbps.
Can I make overseas calls with felix mobile?
Yes, felix customers can make calls to overseas numbers and send unlimited texts for an additional $5 per month. The add-on is activated via the app and can be added as you like with no ongoing commitment.
