Vodafone has cut NBN plan prices across the board following the network builder's wholesale pricing shakeup at the end of the year.

In attempt to position NBN 50 as its flagship product, NBN Co cut the wholesale price of fixed-line NBN 50 plans to match NBN 25 plans, which has led Vodafone to mark its NBN 50 "Essential+" plan down from $95 per to month to $70.

While you'll save the most by taking up Vodafone's NBN 50 plan, the telco has also discounted its NBN 100 and NBN 12 plans, and axed its NBN 25 plan entirely. Vodafone's current range of NBN plans is as follows:

NBN 12: $60 per month, down from $70 per month
NBN 50: $70 per month, down from $95 per month
NBN 100: $95 per month, down from $110 per month

All Vodafone NBN plans come with unlimited data.

These discounts are available to customers signing up for month-to-month and 24-month contracts, and will run until March 25. You will however need to pay a $150 setup fee if you'd prefer to go down the month-to-month path. Once you sign-up to a plan, you'll get the discounted pricing for 24 months, after which you'll have to plan's full price.

Vodafone's $70 NBN 50 plan is easily one of the more competitive offers in its category at the moment.

It's not the cheapest NBN 50 plan around, but it has a few perks that could make it worth your while. The included modem has 4G connectivity, which lets you connect to Vodafone's mobile network while you wait for your NBN install or if there's NBN faults on your line. If you're a Vodafone mobile customer, you'll get a monthly 3GB data bonus for your plan. And Vodafone's Network Satisfaction Guarantee means you can leave within 30 days of getting connected if you're not happy with your service.

Vodafone's NBN service is currently available in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong, and Newcastle.
