Dodo is currently offering unlimited ADSL2+ broadband as well as a 4GB Xbox 360, Xbox Kinect, 2 Kinect games, an additional game (Halo 4 or Sesame Street) and 25 months of Xbox Live Gold membership as a 24 month broadband bundle plan.

Usually, Dodo charges $39.99 for its unlimited ADSL2+ plans, meaning an extra $20 per month, coming to $480 over the life of the contract, for the Xbox extras. To clarify, for $59.99 per month customers not only get themselves an ADSL2+ connection with unlimited download, but all of the Xbox gear mentioned above.

All up the Xbox goodies come in at around $517 in Australia if bought separately. That is, $288 for a 4GB Xbox 360+Kinect+2 game pack, $69 for Halo 4 (we’re assuming most people will go for this title rather than Sesame St) and $160 for 24 months of Xbox Live Gold membership.*

The difference between $517 and $480 might not sound like much, but we think that more than a few customers will find the idea of paying off this package in $20 monthly instalments, rather than as a lump sum, will add to the appeal.

It’s important to note that this is a 4GB Xbox 360 and not the 250GB version that many sites feature. The smaller Hard Drive means limited use for Xbox Arcade game downloads, as the space will be better used for save-games instead of actual content.

Dodo ADSL/Xbox bundle customers should receive delivery of their Xbox package within 10 days and measures are being taken to ensure any customers who order after the 15th of December will receive delivery before Christmas, although this is not a guarantee. Sales will continue as long as Dodo has stock of the Xbox bundle gear.

Consumers looking to bundle in a Dodo Home Phone line will be looking at a price tag of $79.90.

The offer is also available for regional ADSL1 users for $69.90 unbundled or $89.90 bundled. Regional ADSL2+ users will be looking at $89.90 unbundled and $109.80 bundled.
