Telstra has refreshed its range of broadband plans, bundling in unlimited calls as a standard inclusion while dropping plans with traditional Foxtel subscriptions. You can still however get 24 months of a single Foxtel Now starter pack on Telstra's $99 plan, which also comes with a second generation Telstra TV and unlimited data.
In terms of calls, all plans now include unlimited standard local, national, and mobile calls. These were previously sold as an extra add-on, or were billed at pay-as-you-go rates.
Telstra has also lowered the price of unlimited data internet, with plans now starting at $89 per month. In light of this, Telstra says it has upgraded approximately 600,000 customers' broadband plans to unlimited data at no extra cost. If you're one of the lucky ones, Telstra will start letting you know from today.
Telstra's three core internet plans are now as follows:
- $69 per month: 100GB, NBN 25 speeds, unlimited calls
- $89 per month: Unlimited data, NBN 50 speeds, unlimited calls
- $99 per month: Unlimited data, NBN 50 speeds, unlimited calls, Telstra TV, 24 months of a Foxtel Now starter pack
These plans are all sold on a 24-month contract with a $99 setup fee. The $69 and $89 plan are available on a month-to-month basis, but you'll pay $240 upfront.
