Feeling tired from a sudden rise in online meetings? You're not alone. In fact, according to a recent survey by Reviews.org, 69% of Aussies working from home are feeling the strain of extra screen time. Dubbed "Zoom fatigue", it's the result of back-to-back video meetings that can leave you feeling drained, tired and stressed.
It's had such an impact on people that Stanford University is studying the effects of Zoom fatigue and what contributes to it. They’re currently monitoring whether it can have an impact on life outside of work, like feeling too tired to do other daily tasks, or even affecting our eyesight.
To combat this, Reviews.org have created a Chrome add-on to help manage Zoom fatigue.

The tool scans your work calendar and counts how many hours of video calls you have. There's no compromise on security; the tool can only see how many meetings you have, how long they are, if there’s a video meeting link included, and if you’re marked as attending. It can’t see the agenda, who is invited, or any other information.
After scanning your calendar, the tool will tell you if you’re likely to get video call fatigue that day and week.
You can download the tool here.
