Smartphone accessory manufacturer Belkin is expanding its range of products to include backpacks and messenger bags. The bags themselves are still very much being pitched as tech accessories, with individual compartments for a tablet and another for a laptop up to 15-inches in size.
We've got our hands on one of the top-loading "Active Pro" backpacks, which has a water-resistant coating on its base to protect your kit. There's reflective strips for added visibility at night, a loop for a bike light, and vertical pockets for quicker on-the-go access.

In fact, the bag really has a lot of pockets. More pockets than I know what to do with. I'm still discovering new ones.
In addition to my MacBook Pro and iPad, I was able to comfortably fit in my power supply, a water bottle, and a chunky set of headphones with plenty of room to spare. It's also pretty comfortable to wear.

A messenger bag is also part of the Active Pro line. The Active Pro backpack and messenger both retail for $79.95.
If you'd prefer something a little less sport, Belkin's also launching the "Classic Pro" backpack for $69.95. The Classic Pro doesn't have any water-resistance or reflective strips, and has a few less pockets.
All three bags are available now through Belkin's online store and Harvey Norman.
Belkin's new line of backpacks and messengers isn't the company's first foray into the world of "wearables", but the first bags its launched in quite some time.
