Tangerine has fleshed out its mobile broadband offering with two new plans, with prices starting at under $30 per month for 100GB.
The cheapest plan gets you 100GB for $29.90 per month for your first six months, and $34.90 per month thereafter. If you need more data, there's a 200GB plan for $44.90 per month for your first six months, and $49.90 per month thereafter.
These join Tangerine's existing 400GB mobile broadband plan. Here's the full range:
Tangerine is perhaps best known for its NBN plans, but also offers SIM-only mobile and mobile broadband plans powered by the Telstra network. Its mobile broadband plans have 5G connectivity, but are subject to speed caps. The 100GB plan is limited to speeds of 100Mbps, while the other two can go as fast as 250Mbps.
The plans are all contract-free.
Tangerine's mobile broadband plans are all SIM-only, so you'll need to bring your own pocket WiFi portable modem or tablet. In a pinch, you could also turn an old phone into a portable hotspot.
Tangerine does however sell two 5G modems outright: the Inseego 5G MiFi M2000 for $599, or the Inseego 5G Indoor Router FX2000 for $499. The first is a battery-powered portable hotspot, while the latter requires constant mains power.
