Over two million homes and businesses can now upgrade to full fibre NBN for $0 installation fee, to get the fastest, most reliable NBN experience. To celebrate, TPG is giving eligible new customers who request a fibre upgrade when they sign up a $250 credit.

Full fibre NBN upgrades are available to customers with Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and to Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) NBN in areas where the underlying infrastructure is already live. Fibre to the Node customers may not even be able to get an NBN 100 plan, while upgrading to full fibre allows typical evening speeds as fast as 450Mbps. That's a massive improvement.

If you're on FTTN, you need to order one of TPG's NBN 100, NBN Home Superfast, or NBN Home Ultrafast to start the upgrade process. If you're on FTTC you can pick from an NBN Home Superfast or NBN Home Ultrafast plan.

In addition, TPG is currently offering discounts on its fastest NBN plans. New customers will save $10 per month for the first six months on its NBN 100 plan, or $30 per month on its NBN Home Superfast and NBN Home Ultrafast plan. When coupled with the $250 credit, you can save as much as $480.

Here are TPG's fastest NBN plans:

While you wait for the upgrade to be finished, TPG will connect you to an NBN 100 plan as an interim service. If your address doesn't support NBN 100 speeds, TPG will give you a pro-rated credit for the difference between the interim plan and the closest plan your home can support.

In urban areas, upgrades can take up to 19 business days for FTTN customers, or up to 25 business days for FTTC. This takes a little longer for rural and remote customers, where you'll wait up to 24 business days or 29 business days, respectively.

Just note that, as a new customer, you’ll need to bring your own high-speed compatible modem if you’re choosing an NBN Superfast or Ultrafast plan. If you're renting, you'll need the owner's permission to upgrade.

So why upgrade to full fibre? NBN Home Ultrafast represents the fastest widely available internet in Australia, and will massively speed up download times. For example, a 50GB game that would take over two hours to download on NBN 50 could download in as little as seven minutes on NBN Home Ultrafast. High-speed NBN plans also have faster upload speeds, which are great if you're working from home.

Ready to upgrade to full fibre NBN? Call TPG on 13 14 23 or visit its website today.

New eligible customers in select areas only. Bonus credit offer ends 31 December 2023, unless withdrawn earlier or extended. Typical Evening Speeds are subject to change and are measured 7-11pm. Speeds are not guaranteed and may vary. T&C apply.
