Superloop and Exetel NBN plans will get more expensive from July 3

Sibling telcos Superloop and Exetel have detailed what their NBN plans will look like after NBN Co increases wholesale prices in July.

While other providers have predominantly been increasing monthly fees on NBN 25 and NBN 50 plans, both Superloop and Exetel are also upping monthly fees for customers on NBN 100. Wholesale prices are increasing for NBN speed tiers, but from what we've seen so far, many telcos aren't passing them on when it comes to faster plans.

Here's what Superloop NBN plans will look like after the price increase kicks in on July 3.

Speed Tier	Upcoming price	Old price
NBN 25	$69 per month	$65 per month
NBN 50	$81 per month	$79 per month
NBN 100/20	$89 per month	$85 per month
NBN 100/40	$95 per month	$89 per month
NBN 250	$99 per month	$99 per month
NBN 1000	$109 per month	$109 per month

And here are what Exetel's NBN plans will look like:

Speed Tier	Upcoming price	Old price
NBN 25	$63.99 per month	$59.99 per month
NBN 50	$79.99 per month	$78.99 per month
NBN 100/20	$84.99 per month	$84.99 per month
NBN 100/40	$94.99 per month	$88.99 per month
NBN 250	$98.99 per month	$98.99 per month

Both Superloop and Exetel are only increasing NBN 50 plans by between $1 and $2 per month, which is a smaller bump than rival providers. However, Exetel's NBN 100 plan could be a better value buy than its NBN 50, which is just $5 per month more expensive.

There are currently introductory offers available on Superloop and Exetel NBN plans, which reduce for the first six months. Signing up for one of these deals means you'll lock in the lower introductory rate for half a year. You will move onto the new full price when your "honeymoon" period is over.

Introductory offers for Superloop's NBN 25, NBN 50, and NBN 100 plans are set to end on July 2. Exetel is ending introductory offers for NBN 25, NBN 50, and NBN 100/40 plans on July 2, but not for NBN 100/20. It's not clear if either NBN provider will introduce new deals to replace these after the new prices come into effect.
