NBN Co has revealed another batch of suburbs that will be eligible to have Fibre to the Node (FTTN) connections upgraded to Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) at no extra cost. The latest list of towns and suburbs covers an additional 90,000 homes and businesses, bringing the current total to 1.7 million. NBN Co plans to upgrade two million FTTN addresses in total.
The announcement follows news from a fortnight ago, where NBN Co announced that the first 50,000 FTTN premises can now request their free upgrades to FTTP.
The overarching goal is still to enable eight million homes and businesses to get gigabit speeds by 2023.
The towns and suburbs below are the latest additions to the FTTP upgrade program, but NBN Co has yet to provide timing for new individual locations.

If you're on FTTN in an eligible area, you'll need to opt-in for a full fibre upgrade once your area is FTTP-ready. To do so, you'll simply need to order an NBN 100 plan. This will start the process of upgrading a premise to FTTP.
